Redesigned a core admin workflow; 500+ error messages → 35% fewer support tickets.
Built the content foundations: style guide, terminology, accessibility (WCAG).
Technical writer; built the customer-facing support documentation hub.

The best design decision is usually a clearer answer to what is this for, not a nicer surface. I'd rather fix the flow than polish the wrong screen.

Because I came up writing the docs and the copy, I'm in the user's chair before anyone's in the builder's chair, so I catch the assumptions the builder's chair takes for granted.

A design isn't done when it works once, it's done when it holds as others use it. That's why mine tend to become systems: components, frameworks, a brand voice compiled into a rubric that reaches copy I never personally write.

Not in place of it. I earned the craft the hard way first, then brought AI in to scale it. It multiplies the work; the judgment stays mine.
I've never wanted a job I was only tolerating. Every step of this path I've had to earn: learning the product night after night as a technical writer, learning Figma on the job with no training, sitting through the engineering calls I dreaded until they stopped being a threat. I didn't cross into design in the age of AI doing the work for me; I did the reps. I don't think you need the right degree, the right title, or anyone's permission to cross a line. You just have to out-work the doubt until the question changes.
I keep doing it because I love the work enough to keep earning it.
I read constantly, the English-major habit never left. I paint, which is where I learned that revision is just seeing again. And I keep a lot of plants; tending living things turns out to be good practice for tending systems.
Words, growth, the maker's hand. Same three threads, off the clock.
The disciplines are converging.
Design, content, research, systems. The people who cross between them, and who partner with AI instead of fearing it, will define the next decade of this craft. I'm exploring product design roles in B2B SaaS. If that's what you're building, I'd love to talk.
